How is it possible that my little boy is already 6 months old? Half a year has gone by and I honestly don’t know where the time went. Malachi, you have become so much fun and your personality just shines through! You are so sweet, you love to laugh and babble at me and your Daddy. Though you do have a little temper if Mommy or Daddy don’t do something fast enough for you. Despite that, you are the light of our lives and we are proud to be your parents.
You’ve been up to a lot lately!
~You now sit up all by yourself! The only time you tip over now is if you get over-excited.
~You’ve started army crawling/scooting. You can get your knees underneath you but then you’re not too sure what to do with your self. I have a feeling you’re going to be crawling before long. Mobility is a scary thought for your Mommy!
~You are much more interested in your toys and spend more time playing by yourself. I really like that you can entertain yourself for the most part now. Gives Mommy some much needed down time.
~Your Mommy planted some new flowers, plants, and bulbs and you’ve enjoyed smelling them. You would much prefer it if I would let you put the flowers in your mouth, but so far you’ve been thwarted every time.
~You really like checking out what is going on around you. You’re interested in everything. I think that’s why you like our walks so much.
~You and Charlotte have started playing together a lot now. She puts up with you pulling her tail and holding on to her legs as long as you let her lick your face half to death.
~You’ve started having some stranger anxiety, but you break out into your beautiful, gummy grin after a few minutes.
~You like to dance with Mommy and ride on Daddy’s shoulders.
Now for your monthly highlights:
~You weigh 19.2 pounds!
~You’re 29 inches tall.
~ You are wearing size 3 diapers
~ You are wearing mostly size 6 month clothes, though you do wear some 9 month clothes.
~You are wearing size 12-24 month socks for those BIG feet.
~ You are on all formula bottles.
~I have been making your baby food this month. You really like bananas, avocados and sweet potatoes. I’ll be starting you on apples and beans soon. You also eat oatmeal and rice cereal.
Malachi, you have certainly become more fun lately. I am loving each new stage of your life, while simultaneously wishing you would stop growing up so fast! I am so proud of you, sweet boy. I am thankful to be your Mommy.

He is getting so big! Without a doubt, he has one of the most ADORABLE grins I have ever seen on a baby!!!
