Another month has gone by, and my baby is still growing up too fast! On February 12, Malachi turned 4 months old. We couldn’t escape the ick on your birthday…one of these days you’re going to be totally well on your birthday!!! You ended up with RSV and the flu. So pitiful!
Little man, I love and hate how fast you’re growing up.
Some highlights from this month!
~You are rolling over like a champ. You can roll from your back to your stomach in both directions, and occasionally you can roll from your stomach to your back. Mommy even got it on video!!!
~You’re figuring out the mechanics of crawling. You’ve managed to turn yourself in a circle…once you get your arms and legs coordinated, it won’t be long before you can propel yourself forward
~You are grasping on to everything in reach…including Mommy’s hair, food, cups, and your toys. You have the strongest grip and sometimes it really hurts.
~You love to interact with us! Your personality has come out and you love to laugh and smile and talk to us! You also have a bit of a temper which rears its ugly head when we don’t do something fast enough for you.
~Mommy is your favorite person (which I love). If I’m in the room, no one else matters….you just want me!
~You are loving all of your toys, especially your teething keys, toy truck and the ball popper.
~You’ve been working on cutting your first tooth for awhile now. Your gums are sore, but no teeth have broken through yet!
~You love bath time and like to splash until the water gets cold. You do not like it when Mommy accidentally gets water in your eyes.
Now for your monthly highlights:
~You weigh 16 pounds and 5 ounces.
~You’re 26.4 inches tall.
~ You are wearing size 2 diapers.
~ You are wearing size 6 month clothes.
~You are wearing size 6-12 month socks for those BIG feet, but even some of those are getting too small.
~ You are drinking some formula bottles and some breast milk bottles.
~Other than when you’re sick, you take naps during the day like a champ.
~You still wake Mommy and Daddy up for a middle of the night feeding, but we’re hopeful you’ll learn the value of a full night’s sleep before long!
My precious boy, you have changed so much this month. Sometimes it makes me sad. As much as I love each new stage of your life, I sometimes miss that tiny little baby. Ok, you were never tiny, but you know what I mean. I cannot wait to be able to stay at home with you for awhile now that I am done working for awhile. Those precious times at home with you are so special to me. You light up my life! Your Daddy and I love you so much and can’t wait to see what you’re going to be up to next month!
